head torches

I have an energizer one thats brilliant! has a full tilt and full beam/dipped beam settings which is handy!
Batteries last a while and I found the LED bulbs much brighter than standard 'torch' bulb light :)

I used it for running, walking the dog and sorting the horses on a daily basis last winter.

I bought one from Ebay very cheaply. led lights, full tilt, 3 different brightness setting and a flashing setting in case you get into trouble and need help! chuckle. PM me if you want to know the Ebay shop that sells them. Cost about £4. xx

Best and brightest one is the AlpKit one - also has a red light which is handy. It's too bright for bat surveys so ideal for horses.

I'm on a yard with no electricity and as I commute I never see the horse in the light during the week in the winter. I don't really notice it that much as I have the following.

Yes it's more expensive but it's amazingly bright and just stick it onto the mains to recharge every few days. If I walk into his stable with it on, it lights up the whole stable.

I also ride out with it on my helmet with no bother

I bought an LED one from the 99p store which seems to be very bright, and for 99p if it stops working, it isn't going to break the bank to get another!

I have one and the dog has one! Great for poo picking in the dark on cold day both hands free(not sure what the dog thinks..he kept following his light).
