Clever little mare keeps rubbing her headcollar off whilst tied in the lorry travelling. My worry is that if she gets her head under the partition and panics. So far she has been ok and waits for me to pop it on before she moves at the other end. Any suggestions for something that won't come off or a way to stop it. Its fitted correctly, just pops off over her ears when she rubs on the sides or her hay net

Use the carriage driving trick: put a plait in at the top of her mane, fastened at the end with a band. Put a shoelace or piece of string through the top of the plait and tie to the headpiece of the headcollar once its on the horse. Tie a bow and it will be easy to remove when required. To make it easy to do this regularly fix the shoelace to the headcollar with a double knot, and then just thread it through the plait and tie when required.
