I lost my horse this morning. He had a very unique leather headcollar and I wonder whether anyone has done anything with theirs by way of a memento. The only thing I can think is maybe framing it in a box frame with his shoes so any ideas appreciated.

I don't have any ideas but I wanted to say I'm so sorry for your loss, and I think framing the headcollar with his shoes would make a lovely memento.

Sorry for your loss. We all know your pain. I have just kept my horses everyday headcollars but they weren't leather but they still are important to me. Look after yourself x

I’m sorry for your loss. I think it would be lovely to frame the head collar. There’s a framers near me who do fantastic bespoke framing, so you’d be able to choose a mount and frame which best fits. I’m sure there will be one similar located near you

If you wanted something usable could a saddler repurpose the headcollar into part of a belt, dog lead… or other leather momentum?
