Hi, pony has rubs from having her headcollar on in the field. Main areas are behind her ears and on her cheekbones.

Taken the headcollar off in the field now as she's fine to catch and come in for the evening and her bridle has fluffy padding behind her ears.

Anything I can do to encourage hair to grow back or make it less uncomfortable for her? Vaseline or Sudocreme?

I’ve added fake sheepskin noseband covers to my pony that gets rubbed patches. He has a muzzle attached so does have to wear one usually outside.
Being Velcro they are easy to take on and off to wash.

My horse itches her hair out and I use either ‘no itch’ gel which soothes and encourages hair growth or Contego spray, whichever is at hand. Contego is a dermal wash and good for just about everything. Bites, small cuts, hair growth etc. I put something on her bald patches morning and night.

Thanks all, Contego sounds like a plan as does getting some more sheepskin.

Can anyone recommend any Uni budget options or is it a case of popping down to the local tack shop?

Last time I needed sheepskin to go round a muzzle bucket I used a Shires fleecy girth sleeve instead. It wasn’t expensive and easy to cut up. I couldn’t justify doing it to real sheepskin.
