My boy aged 20yrs started headshaking a few weeks ago. I am just bringing him back into work after headshaking started, and he does not headshake when ridden only when in the field or being led.

Any ideas as to what could cause this or experience of? Should I consult a vet? Teeth done every 6 months and no problems.

One of ours started a few weeks ago too. It's pollen in his case. Only does it outside although he's obviously got an itchy nose when in the stable as he holds his nose against the stable bars for relief. Gets earlier every year and lasts longer.

Even though your boy is 20 he could have just developed an allergy. You could try nose net or a supplement. Global Herbs Pollenex works for our boy - kicks in after 3 days use.
