Headshaking Help?

We have a pony which has started headshaking, he is 12 and has never done it before. Any advice on how to deal with this would be hugely appreciated.
Does anyone know anything about homeopathic treatment to identify if he has allergies.

use a nose net and see if that helps. I know a pony that used to headshake really badly but as soon as he had the nose net on he was perfect and *touch wood* hasnt done it since. Hope that helps.
