I was given this advice today and although i know my thoughts, just wondered what yours are

my pony did the same thing and people told me that i should punish him by wacking him and tugging on one reign which i thought was mean.
someone suggested that he might suffer from heyfever and the headshaking was due to an itchy nose! we brought him a net for his nose that ataches to his noseband. it worked really well and he hasnt shaken his head for 4 years!! he suffers from it all year round so he has to wear the net all the time but it doesnt bother him. this might be whats bothering your horse. or maybe its his teeth or bit. check all these first....thats definitely what id do...rather then wack him round the head!!!

ty so much - as ive said before ive tried allsorts with my instructor - hes in a french link snaffle bit - hes really not uncomfortable - i do think its excitement x
****ing hell NO!!!! Jesus christ! no wonder there are so many abused horses ending up being killed or in charities. Give me that person and i will smack them round the head with a saucepan - see how they like it - little shites.
