I thought that you'd all be thrilled to know that the lady who teaches healing is coming to meet the beasts tomorrow. She's not bringing students yet (I guess she wants to see if they are safe, well behaved etc... first).

I'm quite excited to see how the horses (and cats - if they turn up for a nose) react to her and her mystical *energy*. As I said before, my grey will love the attention, CM might decide to stay at a safe distance. I really want the boy to meet new people as he is turning into a one person horse and I don't think that's a good thing at all. Hopefully he'll enjoy it and realise that strangers don't always = injections!

Look forward to the update, always interested in this kind of stuff :) What type of healing was it that they are learning about?
 
I have the leaflet - it says that she's trained as a Nutritional therapist, Kinesiologist, Reflexologist, Vibrational Medicine Practitioner (flower essences), Crystal Healing and Reiki.
 
I'm wondering whether she'll kit the ponies up with those rhythm necklaces (with crystals - of course ;))?

I secretly hope so as they look fun, so I don't really care if they work or not. :D
 
If she does then you definitely have to take photos - evidence of hippy arabs will be required :p
 
SLH - my friend who's horse is having a bad time (navicular and back pain - so interested in having this lady come and treat her horse) is also coming to see what it's about, so I can report what she thinks as well as my opinion. :)
 
Really interested in hearing how it goes. I did a Masterson method course recently and it was astonishing how the horses respond to it so Im really interested in alternative therapies. Hope your chaps enjoy the experience :)

I don't think that I can go ahead any further with it. It will take up far more time than I expected and some of it will be via email so no nice people experience for the boy which was the main thing I was interested in.
 
What a pity!

I know someone whose friend is a Reiki healer. Her cat was always delighted to see Reiki healer if she popped in for a cuppa and went to be stroked, although she was very wary of most people. Cat had an ongoing medical condition.
 
I use a lady called Lindsey Murray based in cheshire wow if ever you get the chance to see her work is amazing!! She has really worked wonders on two of my horses, one was unridable after an accident, after 3 sessions back riding and never looked back she is so safe!!! She says things what the horse is going to do before it does it example the horse is going to stretch and yawn and the vains will raise then it happens, its hard to explain, but the most amazing thing to see and watch!!! There is something wicked about these gifted people which help and i hope you enjoy your experience tomoz and that your horse benefits from it!!1 let us know what you think so looking forward to what happens xxxx
 
Now I've got to ring or email her to let her know. I'm so rubbish at working out what to say as I don't want to upset anyone. Gaaaaahhhhhhh!

She talked a lot about energy and distance healing. Also animals taking on their owners problems. She was very good around the horses and had a nice, calm disposition. As expected CM stayed away but kept her eye on things, the grey got lots of bottom rubs, mainly by shoving her ample behind in our direction and the gelding was a pushy sod... sorry, his own sweet self ;).
 
:) when I did the Masterson Method weekend I had an astonishing reaction from one horse in particular. It didn't seem physical although I'd expected the reactions to be primarily down to physical issues. But this one horse really did seem to be having a huge emotional release and 3 of us watching him, me included, were crying. Another horse we were practicing on made me feel sad every time I worked on him. It made me question a lot of what we take for granted with horses and just how much their emotions affect them and probably vice versa.

Shame it's not practical to use her but I'm sure there will be someone nearer that you can call on. :)
 
I'm not looking for anyone to come and see them, she approached me at a show. In theory I didn't mind, but in practice it wont work out.

Such is life.
