Healing vibes for pony colic.

Just in case this helps anyone else 🙂.

My RSPCA fosters were both wormed initially after being taken in by the charity with Panacur 5 day guard. Whilst there are resistance issues with Panacur, it is a milder wormer for use on neglected equines with a high worm burden. They were both very thin when taken in.

That was in 2012 and 2015, I imagine that it’s the same today.

I’ve posted before how the second foster youngster had a recurrent worm burden with me despite having been well wormed/counted by the RSPCA before her arrival with me. Westgate were super helpful and helped devise a worming/worm count strategy for her which I passed onto the lady who adopted her from here.

Here she is in a case study under an assumed name 🙂.


I would no longer use Pramox on any horse, let alone a rescue, but I wasn’t aware of the dangers then. I did already have all her previous worming history from when the RSPCA took her in, but that predates the case study.
