Currently waiting for vet to ring me back saying I can take Teddy in. He’s come in with a swollen leg and hiding, yowling if I touch him/pick him up. Already had a little cry, I hate seeing them not themselves. God knows what he’s done. Worked out he’s done whatever he’s done between 8 and 9 so I wonder if he’s been hit by a child on their bike on the school run or he’s dashed out in front of someone or fallen weirdly.

Wish the vets would ring me back quickly. I’ve had to ring 3 times already saying he needs to be seen before 5. I appreciate they’re very busy but surely a check up/jabs appointment can be pushed back!

Healing vibes coming your way. Hopefully if he can walk on it it's not broken.
I'm a bit shocked that you haven't been allowed to bring him in straight away. Even given the covid increase over here I would be able to take a cat with a possible broken leg/severe pain in very quickly.

Thank you, I’m normally very happy with their service but was a bit peeved today! I always thought as soon as you said something was swollen/not completely weight bearing that was golden ticket to an appointment straight away! But I completely get they are busy.

He's fine, they think he's had a big scrap with another cat and is badly bruised and battered (along with his ego). Anti inflammatory given and painkillers for me to give him for the rest of the week and lots of TLC. Thankfully no broken bones or anything more significant. The dog has been licking him better since we got back, I'm not sure if the cat is enjoying it or too spaced out from painkillers to stop her!

Great news that Teddy doesn’t have any broken bones, although poor thing I can imagine what I’d feel like after having a thorough bashing with bites. (Teddy is going to get way more TLC than I would ?). Good luck for a speedy recovery.
