Following on from my post last night.
We're still not out of the woods yet with our old boy. Hes still in pain and has only managed one small poo since yest lunchtime. He also hasnt drunk anything even though we have tried to tempt him with sweetened water with apples in it.
We had a little panick when he seemed to get worse at 5am but called vet and he said that was common when the painkillers wore off. He's had some more and is being taken out again in the lorry as I write this, its the only thing thats seems to perk him up.
Hes very very tired and spent the night flat out in his stable. Good news is that he does seem a bit better this morning. Hes not sweating or anything. Hes as tough as old boots so hopefully things will be ok.
Will update later on today
I want to say thanks again for everyones kind messages. Its nice to know people good outcomes from similar incidents and makes me feel better knowing that he has lots of support. Maybe he can sense that.. who knows.
