Heard something today which shocked me.
A friend and I were talking about loading horses as hers is a tricky loader. We were discussing various ways, talking about the possibility of join up etc as a kind method. She then said sarcastically 'We could always try doing what X did'. (Note, my friend was NOT considering this as an option lol)
I rather wich I hadnt asked what X did, as apparently her horse was a bad loader and as she had to leave her yard early the next morning, she spent a few hours one afternoon loading the horse into the trailer, eventually got it in there and decided to leave it in overnight! I couldnt believe it. Some people are just unbelievable.

Sorry about little rant but i just was astonished!

OMG! I don't know much about these things

,Just out of interest really, is it possible to use some bigger lorries as temporary stabling? - not with a bad loader obviously and not a trailer!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe I have just read that!! How can anyone be so irresponsible and cruel? Horse didn't like trailer, so X makes it suffer a whole night of it - good luck to X getting horse in next time is all I can say - if ever again. Horses don't like small spaces, that is so horrific..... I'm very shocked by that.

Has she never heard of patience and PRACTISE??!
Eugh, people who are horrible to bad loaders REALLY bug me! I spent half a day (literally!) trying to load my stubborn brat of a loan pony onto my trailer when she needed to go to the vets, I did NOT hit her and she eventually went in. I was so pleased she did it, and I would have bet that she would have gone in after 30-60 mins if the person bringing her back from the vets hadn't beaten her into the trailer! I was furious she had undone my work!
People are so inconsiderate to their animals!

Forgive me for thinking differently to the obviously super intelligent person who thought that up*sarcastic*......

but wouldn't that just cement the horses phobia even more????

Yes people cerainly do this and so long as the partitions are out, horses seem quite happy like that.

cant imagine anyone ever leaving a horse in a trailer- too many things to go wrong. Horse rears up, puts head through roof, front feet over bar, tries to go under etc. My god what were they thinking!!!!

how would someone even think of that....

that horse will probably never load now...

all for a small amount of patience and perseverence....

Omg! How on EARTH did someone think of that?!?!

My youngsters a bad loader, and I wouldnt DREAM of doing that.
Some people just have no sense.
