Heat in legs

Does lots of fly stamping cause heat in the legs?? Normally get puffy legs but my boy has heat in both front legs around the fetlock, no pain even when prodded. Just up to cantering after PSD in a foreleg but both legs are evenly warm so pretty sure nothing to do with that and has been sound. Heat goes when hosed and when it rains so less flies. If i thought it was anything to do with the PSD the vet would have been on the sunday so should i just keep hosing until the flies reduce??

My girl has similar problems, especially when it's hot & flies pestering her. I am cautious about her damaging her foot (been 'recoverng from a rotated pedal bone following bad lami), so I sometimes use her Sportabc turnout socks, or drown her legs in fly spray/gel. May help for your boy?
