Hello I have just orderd one of these as i have big warmblood who i struggle to sit on, i find i slip into the 'chair' seat when riding him and really struggle with his huge trot. The advertising blurb said this will help, has anyone any experience of this ? By the way his saddle fits him fine, and is the same size and make as the saddle i have for my mare and i have no trouble sitting correctly on her.

I have one and also have a dressage saddle with the same system built in.

I find it extremely comfortable, it allows me to sit deep in the saddle, put my leg in the correct position and, if worn with leather seated breeches, it welds you to the horse which is useful for a bucker!

Some people do find that the change in position it gives is just too extreme but hopefully you should find it helps.

Yep, bought one for a horse who had a HUGE trot- really helped and SO comfy. Highly recommend them

Suede cover but filled with some substance similar to gel which moulds to your shape. Apparantly it is designed to put you in the correct riding position. I am really hoping it works as my gelding is very well schooled and eager to please but my current riding position is not helpful to him at all, in fact I am riding him really badly because of it. Never had this problem before. Thanks for replies they are making feel really positive.

I have a similar thing with my new one Frankie, his action is huge, when I first rode him I couldnt even do a rising trot on him, it was bizarre!

I have a suede gel type seat saver that I got from ebay for £25, it is sooo comfy and looks exactly the same as the heather moffet one, thats why I was wondering if the HM had a special feature.

Let us know how you get on with it!

Oh also, regarding huge movement, Ive just invested in some Sprenger Bow Balance Stirrup irons, they are supposed to be fab for getting you into a more secure lower leg position, and they absorb the shock, apparantly making it easier to ride in a more secure correct and confortable position.

Will let you know how I get on, have ordered it mail order so might take a while to arrive. Thanks re: stirrups tip, will look into them as well.

I have a HM seat saver and Sprenger stirrups (normal shape but bendy) both are great and really worth having.

i have one and i love it! I have been used to suede seated saddles for a while now but have just bought a new one which doesnt have a suede seat and as it is still quite stiff and shiny with being brand new it certainly helps having a bit more grip! Csnt say it has altered my position all that much but my bum is nice and comfy!

I've got one and I love it. I have a big horse too and felt I was moving around in the saddle a bit when schooling... this keeps me really still and is very comfy too. Best thing is that you can use this under BD rules too!!!

How do they help your position, are they the suede gel type ones?

The inner is very similar to the stuff they make Tempur mattresses out of. Its slow recovery foam and is used in ejector seats.
