What size saddle should I look to buy? It's to fit a 15.3 Appaloosa, he takes 6' rugs. I'm looking at either the vogue or the fhoenix gp. Getting one 2nd hand but I'll get it checked once I get it to make sure it fits. I normally use 17' treed saddles but didn't know if these ones fitted differently. I'm a size 10.

I have an 18" fhoenix on my 14.2 - he takes a 17 to 17.5" treed saddle.

Normally it would be based more on the size of your bum than your horse, as long as the saddle didn't end up too long. So an 18" would be too big for you, you're probably looking at a 17". Probably worth getting a fitter out, sometimes getting the padding right is crucial with these saddles.
