Heavy horse experts - trim face for showing?

So I am entering my mare (clydesdale x cob) into a few in hand class at our local show. She will be doing a heavy horse class and a potential ride and drive.

My question is..... What is the correct turn out for her? Should her face be trimmed or left au natural?

All the people on my yard have welshies or TB types so they trim their faces but I am not sure what to do

I wouldn't trim any horse's face but especially not a Clydie's. They can be dreadfully clumsy when they've got all their whiskers, so I dread to think what trouble they could get into without the help of their natural guidance.

Our shire mare is shown with all her hair. She is also plaited with a mane roll and flights. She has a full tail so this is plaited up. Clydesdales are turned out in a similar way. For a local show this would not be expected. I would make sure she is clean and her feathers look fluffy and I'm sure you'll still turn a few heads. People like big hairy horses.

When I was showing my Shire mare, I had a tremendous amount of help from follow Shire exhibitors. None of them trimmed their horses' faces. Many years before acquiring my mare, she had been a Shire Horse of the Year finalist...without facial trimming.

A picture would help, but tbh I would take all the hair from under her chin off, and flat trim her ears to neaten up her appearance, entirely up to you if you tidy her whiskers up, I wouldn't take them off though, just make her look really tidy! Any stray hairs down her chest id remove as well! This is how I would turn out any heavy cob type, and have shown traditional's for a couple of years now!
