What lorry do you have? What would you change about it, have you reinforced your ramp?

I had a lady out yesterday to help load Barney Bear. The ramp has taken a bashing after loading him almost 40 times, especially as he was cantering up the ramp after a while! He is 18.2hh and weighs around a tonne.

Does anyone have a 2 horse forward facing with side ramp? Would you recommend a cattle truck? Tell me what you have.

Oi! who are you calling heavy!

lol, we've never had a problem travelling the boys weight wise, its fitting them in! lol. When mags went to london for queen mothers 100th birthday he was wedged in the the lorry and rubbed the hair off his bum.... didn't do anything else to it but it was bald for a while but grew back like foal fluff!

7.5 tonne, two HUGE stalls facing forward, 2 tonnes payload.
giving them 10 ft nose to tail, and four foot width easily and 8ft headroom. front is a 7ft long full living.
So only an 18 ft body built on to the chassis cab.
ramp never wobble or bends and has been used over 100 times for 750 kilo horses.

Cairo our clydie is not that big, 16.3 and now only 740k. However he is a true family horse - so long the whole family can ride at once

When I bought a lorry I got a three horse lorry so I could take him and one other. Cairo had to have two stalls worth so he could travel at an angle.

He also only walks up and down the ramp - he is too big to be allowed to do anything else for safety.
