HI all, new here and just want to know if anyone knows of a heavy weight carrying horse i can buy for my other half.
must be 16.2 plus.

depends on the price but i knnow www.bomb-proof.co.uk have a few come in sometimes .. they are rather expensive tho

Have you considered trying something not quite so big?

My other half is 6ft2 and shall we say.... chunky.... but the 15.1hh cob I ride happily carries him and he doesnt look underhorsed.

(When I say cob.... he is amost as wide as he is tall! But he is always full of energy, loves jumping etc.. not a plod!)

I am nearly 6ft myself, and often feel too big - as if my legs are dangling under the horses belly - even the 16.3 I ride! But I feel about right on this cob! (Except when I get off and hit the floor much sooner than I expect to!!!)

HI and thanks for all your posts, im specifically looking for a heavy horse, i want to ride and drive and get into heavy horse showing, im looking at a percheron Mare on Sat.
