Can anyone give me some schooling tips on getting my boy lighter on the forehand , at the moment i have a girl who is jumping him but she say's that into the jump he leans on the bit and when she tries to get his head up she can feel him backing off the bit , he is ridden at the moment in a single joint , loose ring snaffle , we have tried a myler frnch link and also a neue shule tranz angle both with the same effect , he also has a running martingale. He seems to back off the bit and it takes about 20 mins doing 20m , 10m circles just to get him to lenghten his stride? Any useful tips would be really helpful..

Schooling - polework/lengthening the stride on the flat down the longside, shortening prior to the short side. not more rein but more leg. Transitions, transitions, transitions and not stronger bits/hands. The energy needs to come from the back end. :)
