I bought a rug thats supposed to be heavyweight but is more of a medium weight.
So now I'm looking for a nice Heavyweight, preferably not too expensive,
Suggestions?

Heavy weight rugs can literally be too heavy if you know what I mean - I've got an older Mark Todd HW which is super warm and weighs a tonne when dry, let alone wet It is also wool lined which was rubbing my mare a bit - . She actually wriggled out of it on one of the coldest and wettest days of the winter last year.
So I'm now awaiting the arrival of a Rhino plus heavyweight with a nylon lining which I hope should be a bit more comfy for her.
The Premier ones are nice rugs but don't really fit her

Of course you may be lucky and have a normal horse, not a fussy, spoilt, delicate little flower

I agree with ironhorse that the MT rugs can be really heavy - when i started sharing Brooklyn, she had one of the older MT rugs that weighed half a tonne. The first time i tried to put it on her (5 ft person vs nearly17hh stroppy mare), the damn thing fell backwards over me and i tipped over! Brook's owner was nearly sick, she laughed so much!
