I brought the PE Trio rug following recommendations from here and WOW i'm sold, it is a fab rug and the neck certainly doesnt rug at all just gives a closer fitting than those without the elastic (i think is a fab idea) much better value for money over the Rambo Duo to

I would say Premier Equine were it not for the elasticated necks... I've seen and heard a lot of good about them but I just don't like the elastic - is anyone who has a PE rug able to clear up whether they rub or not?

I've got the PE rugs and the elastic definately didn't rub. He's got a very fine white mane which does break easily and lost 2/3rds of his mane with the MT combo, but when I changed to the PE rug within weeks the mane was growing back. No rubs on the shoulders either which was a problem also as he's very broad chested. Love these rugs.
Premier equine without a shadow of doubt. Excellent rug is all ways. Both of mine have the heavyweights as well as the stable, lightweights and fleeces!!!!

Well I am converted now having heard the true story about the necks - PE all the way! It's a shame they don't do a lightweight version with a neck, I've literally just ordered a Rambo Supreme light (£180, I bet a PE one would have been more like £80...)

They do! The Buster Lite Xtra Turnout has a 70g fill with detatchable neck cover at £64.99. I'm sure that their summer catalogue also had a rainsheet version but I could be wrong in that.
Ive just bought a Weatherbeeta Tristar and have to say its brilliant. Within a week its already gone through a blizzard we had last night and horse remained totally toasty and dry throughout. It comes with a 200g liner so = 300g in total but you can buy a 300g liner (making it a 400g) for like £25 I think. Its really worth it.
If you haven't gone shopping already then i would say Fal! They are brilliant, i have several types two of which are the Goliath. One of them is 6years old and still in amazing condition so its been worth every penny.
Have a look on ebay as i picked up a Fal Cavalier 350g high neck for £50. Its brand new and im v pleased with it.
