Hi All!!!

It's the day after Cudo's first show and it's a great day.

I did two classes with him yesterday; a $1500 1.15m stake class, we had a rail in this and it helped to remind him to be more careful. But as the fastest 4 faulter we were 7th.

Then we did a $5000 1.20m Mini Prix. He was stellar throughout and we finished 3rd out of 19.

I am so thrilled and I cannot wait to see how the next show goes.

Video of both classes with the jump off of the mini prix.

Pics will be there shortly.

And not to be left out Chad will have his first event of the year this weekend. So another eventful week.

We'll see how he does.

Go pet your horses and know that a lone American is loving all English horses!!!

As always you are all so very very kind. Thank you.

Funny stories from the show...

1) That coat. The coat is a LOVELY brand new Alessandro Albanese coat that's the see through kind of coat. As such it's great for really hot days. And Sunday was a really hot day. BUT... I bought that coat for a steal and was planning to resell it. It's DEFINITELY too large for me.... so as I look at my pics and the video I feel like I am wearing a tent. Mind you, a lovely, airy, breezy tent, but a tent nonetheless. (Anyone looking for an XL AA coat... send me a message... It's already Lucky!!!!)

2) After the Show. So basic stats:

Finished showing: 7:25pm
Left show grounds: 8:40pm (LONG check out with the show office to get the check for my winnings)
Went to gas station: 8:50pm
Noticed flat looking tire on the trailer: 8:53pm
Tried to fill with air: 9pm
Realized there was a roofing nail in the tire and it was shot: 9:20pm (SLOW air pump)
Swapped for spare tire: done by 10:15pm
Dropped John at home: 10:40pm
Got Cudo back to the barn (2 miles from house) 10:47pm
Fed all the horses and turned out by: 11:23pm
Mucked the 4 stalls and done by: 12:30am
Walked out to the fields and checked on Cudo and the rest one more time: 12:35am
Walked into my house: 12:45am
Went to bed: 1:03 am
Dogs woke me up: 5am.

It's a good thing there's a pretty ribbon in my house now as I can smile while still being exhausted and since the prize money has gone to a new tire! LOL

Cudo went for a 15 minute hack yesterday just to move his 14 yr old self around a bit before turning him out to turn into a chocolate covered pony. He was quite bright and strutting down the roads. Very happy with how he felt, though his ability to pose for a selfie was a bit diminished. Ha ha ha. (#muleears)
