heeeeelp! 24/7 turn out to 24/7 stabled!

Theres no turn out what so ever! Thats the only part about the yard that bothered me, the horses have probablxly about half an hour to an hours run in the indoor school. The yard shes currently at is about 12 miles from my house so shes not getting as handled as much as i want, which is another main reason for moving her. Think maybe ill have a look around for another yard thats close to me

I would pass on it if I were you, it's no life for a horse, especially a baby. I wouldn't want to put a horse in that situation. Hold out for another yard that's closer with facilities and turnout.

Are there any fields near the yard close to your home that you could rent? I know they are like gold dust, but I would ask around, then you could use the facilities at the yard but have the rented land for turnout (if the livery yard would allow you to do this - some don't for whatever reasons and they know they can just make you leave if you don't comply!). I'm in a similar position in that I moved my horse 5 miles away for good turnout, which may not seem so far, but there is a yard on my doorstep, I can actually see it from my bedroom window, with the only winter turnout being in a long thin, rather bare field, and you have to be around while your horse is in it, meaning most only go in for around half an hour or so while they are being mucked out, despite this place owning nearly all the land in the area, and I have been debating, like you, whether to move my horse home or not.

I do wish there were regulations for livery yards, which state that they have to provide adequate horse/grazing ratios and winter turnout of at least a few hours a day.
