And all it took was a docking thread to pull me back! Sorry for the absence, but a big Ginger Horse, took me hostage and demanded all my focus. However the stupid thing appears to have broken herself, so in an attempt to stop thinking about it, I shall bore you lot instead :p

Otto is now nearly 4 (how on earth has he survived this long!!??) and is actually getting naughtier by the day. We moved into our first proper home last year, that we own, so decided Otto could be trusted enough to roam free when we were out. He takes this role extremely seriously and has decided the bed is the most vulnerable part of the house and should be guarded at all times ;) Plus he can see the street from there and can keep an eye on the pesky ginger cat that comes and craps on our driveway (probably whilst sticking it's paws up at Otto as he desperately tries to get it through the window!!)

So here are a few pictures, in case anyone is stupid enough to have missed the big thug...

Helping to decorate the new pad...

With the 'gang'...

This is his most ferocious 'guarding' position...

Out working (and demonstrating how un-gun shy he really is - there was a gun about 10 foot from us, making the loudest noises I have ever heard!!)

He would also like it known that he now has a steady girlfriend, we managed to move next door to a female Black and White Springer. She is regularly appearing on our doorstep and garden :D

Oh, and remember what a skinny runt he was?? Well Acana is truly the most amazing food, he now weighs over 25kg  And has his food monitored very carefully (although he does like to help himself!) :D :D

Oh no, what is wrong with the pony?!

Otto is a handsome boy and so clever to help you with the painting! Oh Lordy, is the girlfriend becoming a fixture at your house??

Not sure, she's got a slightly puffy leg. Vet is coming on Thursday for my piece of mind, so praying it's nothing!

He is a very clever boy, and was ever so helpful when it came to painting, turns out there is a use for a Spaniel with an undocked tail!! ;)

It was an innocent query I posted, resurrected by someone hoping I'd be burnt on a bonfire: sadly he/she hasn't properly understood the ethos of this section properly and pretty much everyone has backed up the idea that docking is not a terrible thing for some dogs. :p

'Burnt on a bonfire' On the contrary, some of us don't need the approval of the masses, those may be your values but not everyone is a bandwagon jumper, It appears the irony was lost on you, not surprised. 'The ethos of this section' is decided by who exactly? Whether docking is a terrible thing or not for 'some' dogs isn't the issue really is it? The practise is regulated for a reason...is your dog worked?
