Hi guys

Im hoping some of you may be able to help me!!

A gentleman at our farm has been invited to a fair at the weekend in Peterborough to show off his handsome Clydesdale! His usual groom is heavily pregnant and can’t make it down to plait him up! Soooo he's asked me and a friend to step in and sort out his tail! I know they are supposed to be pulled and trimmed ect etc but when I suggested it to him I had to run half a mile from a flying dandy brush!

I had a quick practice last night and kind of done my own thing with it looked ok for a first attempt (IMO anyway)! Ive spent lots of this morning looking for tail pics on the net and haven’t come up trumps yet!

Please, please, please can you help me out by posting some relatively close up shots of your heavy horse's tails plaited?? Id be very appreciative!

Stacie!:)

I'd try these guys, I have no idea if Clydesdale's are presented in the same way as a Suffolk though! I've just seen them at County Shows and game fairs!! If not there are a few farms around Suffolk who work heavy horses, they might be worth a phone call. Easton Farm Park is the first one to spring to mind.

Oh Hi!! LOL you read my mind!!!!! Stacie has got the tail, and I've got the mane!!

Had some heavy horse books to look through briefly, but any pics up close of the mane as well as the tail would be much appreciated!!!

Officially (according to the book!!) Clydesdales have their very own plaits which are different to the Punches and the Shires.....just to confuse things even more!!
