My old show cob has suffered to various degrees with heel bug for years. have tried [through the vets] spot on and injections , have also tried purple spray, some Spanish tincture [ havent a clue what it was ], pour on cattle fly repellents , all to no avail. Demobion - a green gel- worked best of anything but now no longer seems available. So has anyone any other ideas for me to try?

Denes mite cream, you can get it online or from a pet shop, just wash your horses legs with antiseptic wash then kitchen towel them dry and add the mite cream, do this two times a day for a week then leave alone, you may need another treatment but usually works with one, Denes might cream is around £5/£6 A Bottle but you will need at least three or four as they are only small.
