So bought new horse yesterday he’s come in with a cut on his right rear heel bulb almost grazed but with rolled up skin like a little thumb poking out I’ve cleaned the wound and I did put wound powered on it he in his stable it’s not deep but the bit of skin is hard any advice

Keep it clean as much as you can, running a hose is the best way to get all the minor debris out

Watch that as it heals it stays healthy looking and doesn't get infected

It's a tricky site for a wound, as bedding etc can get in. Maybe keep him turned out (if its not muddy at your place) as there's less chance of muck getting in?

Hopefully it will just sort itself out though :)
