Only thing my OH asked for was this:

January 20th - 1 am in the morning, just about to drop off.

"Theresa, would you fancy getting married"

Me (half asleep) yes.

OH - "Cairo must be there as my best horse"

So, thank god for the internet, but I was able to arrange the wedding and the repair of the horsebox for 16 May. Cairo was best horse and Jemima was mare of honour. Instead of favors on the tables we had bowls of minty cubes. Having them there made the day for us.

This was as close as Louis got to my wedding:

It was in central London so logistically impossible to get him there so my parents surprised me with a video of him on a big screen!

So sweet. My 15 yo daughter always used to say she was going to marry a horse when she grew up. I am sure her friends would love to hear that anecdote next time they are round!

No way an I going to ride at my wedding. I ride stinky horses every day!! I do not want to smell horsesy and get horse on my dress thank you very much!!!
Will have my friend drive us with his nice pair, but no way am i stiing on one !!!

What a wonderful thread!!!

Mike and I bought George the November after we got married, but I'm sure if we were getting married now he'd be best horse too!!

oooo my gosh, i am so close to tears looking at these pictures. They are all so beautiful and the suprised videos and guest appearences are fantastic, I would be bawling!

If I ever got married my boy would have to play a huge part in the day but thanks to him i will prob never get married!

Wow your horse is amazing, he is drop dead gorgeous.. and what a lovely suprise.

The nearest I got was having a horse bought by my hubby as a wedding pressie (my first ever..horse that is) .

Personally on my wedding I would like one day when I do not have to even think about horses, let a lone smell like them!

Wow Theresa_F - what a fantastic photograph. And what a dress. You looked stunning. have you any more photos of your wedding that you could show?

All the photos are amazing. now all I need is a man! Have the horse.

Believe it or not my dress was off ebay - £110 - spent a few tense minutes bidding against someone else - it was exactly what I wanted, owned by another short arse with big hips and boobs - fitted me perfectly and the wedding was black, silver and ivory - when I won it poor old Dot (my fat black cat) went flying as I jumped up for victory.

I do have some photos - I'll put a few on photobucket and bore you with them.

Without ebay and the internet I could never have arranged the wedding in under 4 months not easy finding a wonderful wedding venue with a licence and stables for the horses and accomodation for guests.

Anyone wanting a fantastic place in Essex - look at the Reid Rooms - cannot recommend them enough - so helpful and the place was perfect for us.

Best thing of all - where we got married was originally the stables for the plough horses - very fitting.

Theresa, that's such a fantastic photo! Can't wait to see the others.
Will have to show OH - give him some ideas !! (though am not holding my breath)
