I had a go on my friends TB last night and i must say, i havent laughed so much in ages. This TB doesnt like anyone riding her apart from her owner so i was pleseantly surprised when she asked if i fancied popping her over a small jump in the field. She went up to the jump with no problems and cleared it beautifully but then charged off a bit and became quite strong. I circled her and used half halts (As advised by owner) but she was so excited she wanted to go. In the end she veered to the left and i wasnt prepared so i started to fall off (My right leg flung over to the left) but i decided it wasnt my night to fall off completely and hung on around her neck. She started spinning around on the spot but i clung on even though everything was starting to go blurry lol. My friend then walked up to us and held the horse while i (Half) dismounted in a more lady like fashion. best laugh i had in ages and amazed that i still felt confident enough afterwards to ride a different horse and take him for a gallop (My confidence has always been a bit shaky at times even though i have been riding for years). Wish i had a pic to show you because i dont think i could manage staying on like that again. Lol
