Well having had a quiet summer as Heidi hates hard ground, it doesn't do her old bones much good, we brought her out to play a month ago at a local eventer challenge. It was a beautiful day and she had a ball, thundering round as she does (heavy footed!) until the water where the young horse in front was having a melt down. Mini and Heidi stopped to give them a lead through which unwittingly gave them a good shot at a silly slow optimum time and they came in an unexpected second!

Then they did a bit of indoor show jumping for her pony club team, and managed to help the team to first place in two classes by winning each class as individuals! A fairytale day as she's not the fastest bunny in the warren but mini rode good lines and kept a lovely rhythm...Heidi got a bit overexcited in the prizegiving though, dropped a shoulder, spun three times, nearly took out the DC, thought about taking on an oxer backwards and left the arena sideways :o

And yesterday we went out for spot of cross country schooling while the ground was still soft and not soggy, and they took on some of the 90cm course at Swalcliffe, something I'd never dreamed she'd be able to do but she and mini have clicked so well they had a blast!

Finishing off with her usual stomp through the water where she manages to soak everyone within a 100 yard radius. Here's the old girl very soggy and satisfied...
