How big where/are your youngsters at 2yrs - those who will make between 14.3 and 15hh? My welsh d is approx 13.3 I think and he's supposed to make 14.3 to 15hh but he looks quite small?? I can't remember how big my 15hh cob was at 2 but sure she was around 14.1

my filly will be 2 in a month: last time measured she was about 14.1hh and i want her to make 15.2hh....

they say add a hand to 2 yo height... so going by that i'd say that 14.3 should be achievable... and i just hope its true and willow grows an inch within the month.....

My youngster is supposed to make 15hh.
He was 13.hh as a two year old and is now 14.3hh and will be 3 next month.
So I think he will make his height!

My new Dales 2 year old is already 14.1hh - 14.2hh and he should only make 14.2hh. The owner told me that some youngsters do all their height growth in the first 2 years whilst others don't. Not very helpful I know, but he assured me my boy will finish at 14.2hh :)

I don't have much advice here, apart from my filly is two years and 2 weeks old, her dam was 13.3 / 14hh on top toes sire was 15.2 hh, filly was 13.1 hh in september maybe 13.2 but is now 15.2 and bum high!!! She has been on level grow stud mix at half rations from december on and ad lib haylage, she looked like a race horse last month but I'm not worried as she had grown 2 hands up and gone from 5'6 rugs to 6 or 6'3 :) I'm only 5' and have been reading appy's are slow to reach full height and her dad was an appy :/ what do you reckon she will mature to?

My welsh D was 14.1 at 3 and made 15hh so you could make it!

Currently have a tb x welsh d who is 15hh in front and 15.2 behind at 2 and is still all leg so goodness knows how big he'll go, he was only to make 15.2/3 but would look very out of proportion if he stayed like that!

My cob was 13.2 or 3 when he hit 2, just a smidge over 14 when he hit 3 but now at 3.5 he's 14.2..he was sold to make 15hh, I'm thinking that might be a tad optimistic now, but it's no bother to me, he's big enough as he stands anyway.

It's funny how they all seem to grow at such different rates, you just can't judge it.

When I bought him at 15 months old he was 12.2 then in 6 months he grew a hand then over the next year he only grew just over an inch...

I'm hoping mine makes 15.2, he's supposed to make 15hh-15.2. He just turned two and is at least 14.2 at the moment, and still quite bum-high

The grey was 14.1 and a bit hh at two, she's now four and 15hh. Infact she's hardly grown in height at all for a few months, but she's grown alot in length and width. ;)

My sec D filly was about 13.1/2 a year ago, measured her last week and 14 and half inch hh, mum and dad were a good 14.1 but grandsire was 15.1hh, fingers crossed she should make 14.2 +. :)

she was 3 in may.

bought my 2 year old when she 13.3 she is now 3 years (just) and she is standing at 14.2/3 and she is predicted to get to about 15.2hh ish :) so i think you are good :)

My arab x appaoloosa is 2 in june, he was only meant to make 15.2hh, mum was 15hh pure bred arab and sire is 15.2hh pure bred appaloosa (whirlwindhorses). Smartie is already 15hh and in 6'3" rugs and weighs 420kg on a weighbridge.

My boy was 14.1hh when i bought him at 2 1/2 and now at just turned 5 he is 15hh and a bit bigger behind. He was advertised as making 15.1hh which I think I may just be able to squeeze out of him as I think he will be a late maturer since he still looks like a gangly pony lol.

Seems as though i still should be able to hold out hope that he makes his 15hh then! i really hope he does make it as ive got a good feeling about him! :D
