Height guesstimate....

If a 10 month old filly foal is stood at roughly 14.2hh and her parents were an 18hh Shire Dam and 15.2hh Cob Sire, what sort of height would you guess her to finish at..???

I read in horse and rider a few wks ago that foals/youngsters do 90% of thier upward growth in the 1st year!?! 14.2 at 10mnths sounds like shes going to be a big girl to me ide say easily over 16hh maybe 17hh but you never can really tell till they reach maturity because theres always one that breaks the mold and suprises everyone with a late growth spurt!

A slow growing breed like that will easy make 16.2 if not more.

The string test is a good geusstimator... use google.

They say add 2hh as a yearling and 1hh as a 2yo.
