Just generally being nosey.

My girl is 20 months old and currently standing at 13.1 and a half at withers, 13.2 and a half at the bum. If she makes 15hh I'd be ecstatic but I'll just have to see how she grows. Either way she's here for keeps. Mum was 14.2hh cob and dad was unknown, but a TB, so no less than 15hh I'd expect.

So how big were your youngsters at 1, 2, 3 and fully mature?

On Tia's first birthday she was standing about 12.2hh-12.3hh so had a nice bit of growth since then. I've had her for 9 months so it's interesting to see how she grows into herself.

So, let's see your lot, with pictures please :D

No idea really. I got mine aged 15mths in 2010 at 15hh. He is now rising 3 and stands just under 16hh. I think (hope!) he'llbe no bigger than 16.2hh although am a tad worried he'll be bigger!! Lol

Your girl is lovely. My lad was around 13.2 at 6 months, 15.1ish as a yearling, 16hh as two year old and is standing around 16.2/3 at mo 31/2 (july foal) is a bit bum high have told him to stop but he just ignores me:D
Someone told me to take a piece of string and measure from the point of elbow to the ergot, then take the piece of string and turn it around so you go from the point of elbow upwards towards the wither this will give you the true adlut height. I did this when he was 21/2 and it worked out to be around 17hh and i thought no go that one wrong......Looks like it works!
Woulod post some piccies but not sure how to new on here!:)

My cob at 10 months was around 13hhish.......She was 14hh at around 2 and now rising 4 she is a smidge under 15hh, hoping she will stay around her current height :)
My 20 month colt is 14hh, he is meant to mature to 15hh.

My colt is 14.2hh at 9 months.

They say that a foal will grown about 2 hands more after its first year. There is a string test you can do that predicts there full height.

I think she will make 14.3hh maybe 15hh with shoes on :)

Harold was 6hh when he was born :D He is now 18 months old and is 10hh. His full sister is a year older and is currently 11hh. It would be nice if they both made 12hh but I'm not sure if they will quite get there :o

Our 21 month old KWPN colt is 166cm. In English he is just a smidge under 16.2HH.
Showing no signs of stopping. His mother is 164cm (almost 16.1hh) and his father 171cm (almost 17hh).
We think he'll probably make 175cm (about 17.1hh).

brought mine at 18months - not sure what height.

As a 4 year old shown very successfully in classes below 15.2 (full up)

As a 7 year old would be the guts of 16.3 (but still growing).

i bought my baby girl Jolie as a 5 month old foal

she was standing around 12'2hh as a weanling,
15hh at the wither 15.2hh in the bum as a yearling, she was standing 15.3 wither 16hh bum she is 3 in march and she is currently standing 16.1 in the front and about 16.3/17hh in the bum. she is an andalucian x TB X ISH. my friends said she would make 17.2 when she is mature. looking at peoples who have had their horses/ponies since babies and now have 4yr old rising 5. i rekon she might crack up 17.1 im only small hehe.
