i purchased a bargain pony yesterday-£75 quid to be exact. it was sold to me as a sec A but theres no way!! it was 1 on the 31st May so still a baby! he is grey(white) with a couple of grey patches where the skin is actually black under it so looks like its been crossed with a coloured. it has 2 blue eyes and lots of pink skin around the nose/eyes but has a black rim around the eyes like its wearing eyeliner!!! will have to get pis. but my question is-im planning on selling him next year but are mostly white with roany grey patches and 2 blue eyes sellable?? lol he is currently 11.2hh-how big do you think he will get as his head is quite large and he has longer legs and ears than a section A does! also-whats the average cost of gelding him as i assume it would be easier to sell him as a gelding?

Gelding is one of those things which is difficult to predict! The last colts I have had cut ranged from £75 to £565.. The expensive one needed a GA as only one of his testicles had descended.

My yearling filly must be about 13.3hh - she is going to mature at approximately 15.3hh. Not sure if that hekps you gauge yours, but hey!

It really is impossible to predict his size without seeing the dam and sire. He may have a big head, but sadly may not grow into that and always be a bit of a mixture.

hisa breeding is not known so its hard to predict size.
generally they have reached 90% by 12months, but natives may grow a little more as they take longer to reach final height.
there is a way to tell-measure from the knee to the coronet and whatever the length is in inches is his final height in hands-roughly.
it also makes it hard to tell what he will look like when he grows up, he could remain with slightly out proportions-this will make him harder to sell.
hard to tell how much he is sellable for-if he is well made, nice coloured and sensible to make a childs pony he will be quite sellable-esp if you sold him broken in and proving quiet.
