Hey all

So my TB is about 16.2 maybe 16.3 I need to get a stick to him.

His passport says he is 5, but he has “baby hair” and some of his teeth are still very much baby teeth and not fully come out.

Vet has said potentially he’s just a slow maturer.

Do you think he will grow anymore, has anyone had their tb grow after 5.

I was hoping he would reach 17hh at least😂

He never raced and was left to be a horse basically not been rushed into anything

He’s also a bit bum high

I'm not familiar with TB's but natives are known to grow on until 7 or 8 (maturing rather than height).

My friend recently took on a 12 year old new forest type who was built like a drag racer, really bum high with no shoulders at all. Over the last 12 months she has worked her correctly and done lots of hacking up and down hills. She's levelled out and now looks so much better. Hopefully with correct work your horse will level out as he develops muscle. I mean 16.3 is so close to 17hh so I can't see any reason that he wouldn't grow an inch by muscling up.
