Just wondering if anyone has had a saddle fitted/used the services of Helen Milner/HM Performance Saddles as I have been recommended them. I have had a lot of problems over the past year with saddle fit with my mare and Helen was recommended by my vet/chiro. Feel free to PM me if you prefer. Thank you.

I love Helen. I haven’t used anyone else for saddles in over 8 years. Never had a sore back or an issue. Fitted horse no 5 recently for me. She mainly sells Prestige, Equipe and Amerigo. She knows exactly what I like in a saddle and is very good at fitting for the future as well as a lot of mine are usually young when first fitted.

Sorry for the delay in replying. Thanks so much, that is really encouraging to hear. We have something booked in for early March - currently the long term weather forecast is 50+ mph that day, and I need to travel to an arena, so fingers crossed that changes and we can get sorted and back on track. :)

Hi, I've also used Helen for a number of years on a variety of horses, and I've found her to be excellent, never had a sore back or an issue, shes practical and always listens to the horse. I have also found her to be great at not pushing for me to spend fortunes I dont have, I've bought a second hand saddle from her and shes been great at adjusting saddles I already had. I really recommend her.

eta: shes fitted a wide range of ages for me too, from a youngsters first ever saddle before he was backed, to my grand prix horse, and been excellent with all of them.

Thank you - that all sounds really positive as well. I have sent Helen a couple of pictures of Maddie to give her an idea of her shape, so hopefully she will be able to come up with the goods. I don't even mind if the saddle is falling apart at this point - if Maddie likes it and I can actually start riding my pony again, I will be very happy!
