My friend has asked me to see if anyone knows what her horse has got. we were out in the field poo picking and we noticed that her tb mare was flicking her tale and stomping her back legs.. we thought it cant really be flys at this time of year and my gelding wasnt bothered by anything and he was stood next to her. we looked to see if there were any flys and there was a bald patch on her stomach, we looked closer and there were loads of little back and gray eggs around the out side and in the middle there a scabby lump which looks like a wort. has anyone had anything the same? do you think we should get the vet out or is it just an irritation from the eggs. oh and we got the eggs off with a bot knife...
thanks
