Hi all, I have been under a ban from the 'fat controller' as my laptop had a virus but we are now all good. So the pony has been given the all clear from the vet about 3 month ago, obviously without another mri it is impossible to tell how much the tendon has healed but he is sound on a work up, is now being ridden for about 40 mins per day and staying sound and has just started canter work. The shoes have stayed off and I am convinced this has played a big part in his recovery, he is freer, more forward going, looks so much happier, I no longer have to put a sausage boot on his hind as he is no longer moving so close behind, he stands fully weight bearing on both hind legs when having a wee!! So BIG thank you to all off you who gave advice and support, especially the barefoot experts Oberon, CPTrayes, Twostroke etc. It has really got me looking into his diet and general all round well being, he just seems so much happier! So I am now officially converted and a member of the barefoot Taliban, thanks again!!
