Hi all, I am new. I hope you dont mind me jumping straight in with a question!

Any tips on stopping horses biting wood? both in stable and fences in field. Tried the usual spray on products that you can get. I dont think its diet related, any tips greatly appreciated

Cribox is brilliant. You will have to sacrifice a pair of gloves to it and will still probably smear it all over yourself (doesn't affect me, but OH can smell the tiniest amount of it and it puts him off his food for the day!), but it works brilliantly and you don't need to apply it that often.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Are you 100% positive it is not a vit/min deficiency? I did have one that started chewing the fencing and by putting a vit/min block out in the field (one of the Dengie forage balancer ones), it stopped it straight away.

I saw something on here (in stableyard money saving tips I think) about painting on watered down horse poo... no idea if it works as haven't tried that one myself but worth a try before spending any more money?!

she has a forage balancer and has salt and another type of lick in the stable so i think she should be getting the nutrition she requires. She never runs out of hay in the stable and there is plenty of grass in the field. Just drives me mad, much easier if they could talk and tell us the problem!!!

Have you tried cribox? It's messy, but it does work.

You can get a spray on clear cribox now and it tastes equally disqusting!! (It leaves no mess and I forgot to clean my hands before I ate last time I used it...
