My two Donkey's don't like getting their hooves trimmed. They really kick up a fuss. My Ferrier askes me to twist their ear really tight to calm them down while he is trimming but I really don't want to do this.

Hello and welcome. From a fellow donkey lover;-
1, Don't do this.
2, Sack your farrier.
3, Train your donkeys to stand politely and pick their feet up. Your new farrier will be very happy and so will your donkeys.
Good luck.

Hi dogatemysalad, thanks for the advice.
I think it was my own fault that the Donkey's were kicking up a fuss as I was anxious myself and nervous the first time. I think my Donkey's sensed this and that's why they behaved the way they did.
I got their hooves trimmed again last week and there was no problem with them. I was calm and just took time with them beforehand and all went well. NO twisting of ears :) Happy Donkey's.
