hi guys although i don't own a horse i'd like to think we all have a wooden pellet issue in common since the start of the russian invasion so you'll probably find me loitering the cat section of the group
I'm paul an owner of some 6 cats with whom the recent cost of living is becoming an issue

Hello Paul - I'm assuming you mean the wood pellets that are used for litter trays? I don't think those are necessarily the same as the 'wood pellets' some people use in stables are they? A lot of the cat litter ones have added anti microbial/anti bacterial stuff and certainly a lot of them are perfumed. Although I daresay most, if not all, of those additives are for the humans, not the cats!

at the moment cat litter for 30ltr / 15kg bag has almost double from 5.99 to 9.99 as the cheapest i can find so went on the thoughts of bulk buying to save a few pounds with 6 cats im using 2-2.5 bags a week now so hopeing to source a cheaper option

Could you use the wood pellets sold as fuel? Seems the cheapest way of doing it. unfortunately it's not escaped the price rises either though but still somewhat less expensive than those sold for specifically as horse bedding or litter trays. Even that which IS sold as fuel seems to be about £13 a bag (and even then some say they aren't suitable as bedding. Not all, though.)
