My main weekness lies in the fact that I could consume 3x my own body weight in under an hour if I could!

Now, before you all lynch me.. let me explain. Breeze is a more than good doer who I can only manage to control by a lot of intensive exercise. However, in feb this year she tweaked an old injury; I then lost her son so I decided to try and put her in foal.
She has been at stud for a good few months on a skinny field and then I brought her back before her last two failed attempts as I was sooo concerned about her weight and she is on a skinny field at night and stands in in the day with overly soaked hay.
I am now just bringing her back in to work as leg seems fine and she is not with child. I thought I would start the eaters annonymous or not so annonymous thread so that I can post any improvements.
She is so fat that she is a good 2/3 inches bum high.. shocking!!

p.s. please don't attack me for this, I am more than aware that it is not a laughing matter but know there are a few of you on here that will know my struggle.

Sorry, numpty question alert.... How does a horse being fat make it bum high? Is it just a fat bum, as my mare is quite overweight and bum high but I wouldn't say the top of her bum is overly podgy.

lol, thanks. she is lovely when trim and a temperament to die for normally. She was literally like a raging bull last night with a big bullneck to match!

A more flattering pic of her so she doesn't get too upset with me

Hi, I also have a mega doer who never brings her nose off the grass. I ride her every day and she is on a similar routine to yours, its really hard work at this time of year, I'm looking forward to the colder nights to help shed afew more pounds. Mine has also been a broodmare in the past so shes had plenty of practice eating for 2...

What breed is yours, she is very pretty.....and super jump too

Hi.thanks. She isn't the scopiest horse unfortunately but she is so willing that she is staying with me forever. I broke her in to sell as a hack as we had too many but I fell in love with her. She is full RID out of Heather Breeze. We decided that she is how she is because she spent the first 8years of her life doing nothing then breeding.
Poor girls! I have never had a horse that I struggle to keep weight off and it really is a daily struggle. She will literally clear a field in a day, given half a chance. All my girls were stood chilling this morning but breeze was still munching away!
What breed is your girl?
