Hi all, I've just registered on here!
After a long (too long) break away from horses I started riding again just before Christmas and cannot believe that I have left it so long! My daughter went on a few pony rides last summer and has been pestering me ever since about learning to ride, she turned 4 a couple of weeks ago and has just had her first lesson. Obviously I had to check out the riding school beforehand!
After feeling rather stiff the following morning I've been out hacking a few times since then, my first canter in about 10 years nearly made me cry as it made me so happy!!!
I'm hoping that in the not too distant future I will be able to get my own horse again, I used to have a beautiful chestnut Welsh cob gelding called Bryn, we had so much fun together, showing, jumping and generally horsing around! Prior to that I had a 12.2hh Section B who was absolutely bombproof and could jump almost anything you pointed him at!!
As well as my young daughter I have a husband (recovering from a catastrophic leg break whilst out on exercise with the Royal Marines) that is not anti-horse luckily and three beautiful pointer dogs that we show and hope to field trial in the future.
PS, if anyone in the Sudbury, Suffolk area has a horse that they need some help with please let me know!
