I own a palomino gypsy cob stallion and a dunskin welsh sec b mare
Hello I have bred from him before and some more in future but I don’t breed him with my welsh she is a very talented pony and loves her work she’s had foals before and I’ve Broken her in she didn’t have foals with me though. My Welsh’s colour is a dunskin and my stallions colour is palomino I don’t breed for the sake of it last foal he had was more than 8 years ago I use him for showing and all sorts ? xxHi ?
I'm not sure what you mean by dunskin as a colour? Do you breed from your stallion?
.
No I haven’t tested her but I will soon her sire is a dun (eyarth shammah) and her dam is a bay (Priestwood aderyn) my welsh b is called pixie (Priestwood phoenix) she has a little bit of a dorsal stripe and leg barring she doesn’t have a full dorsal stripe on her passport I have it says she’s a dun if she is typed up online she is a buckskin so I presumed a dunskin but I will confirm this with a test soon I will put some pictures xI've never heard of dunskin before and I've just looked it up. Did you have her DNA tested to find out that she has both dun and buckskin genes? A photo would be interesting if you have one.

Yeah she’s interesting me because duns have barring, dorsal stripes, dark points, and a stripe on the shoulder but she only has 2 of them markings and the stripe isn’t fully which is weird she also turns a weird colour in winter aswell her bum goes chestnutty and buckskin colour and not to mention she is not a very light dun/ buckskin/ dunskin she’s very dark xFascinating, the DNA experts on the forum will be interested in her.
