I know helmet cameras have been done to death but most of the threads seemed to be road safety related - I need a camera that works well for sj /Xc.

I have an ongoing problem that my veho muvi micro frequently does not record , even if I have first checked that it has started to record I have checked the obvious things like the battery and that the memory card is not full.
I can’t work out why this happens - perhaps the jolting movement be rattling the micro card and stopping the recording? Have messaged veho and waiting for a reply.

So I’m looking for a replacement camera

I’m not keen on having something large on my head for safety reasons. (My muvi is very small)

The cambox sounds ideal - except for the poor reviews/customer service and price.

Would a go pro work over an air vest?

I ordered a cheap copy of a go pro but it was huge so I returned it.

Any other ideas?
TIA

I'd be tempted to get another Veho Muvi, I love mine and I like that it's so tiny.
Thanks - I had considered getting another as the newer ones have better resolution than mine - can I ask which model yours is and does it work ok for jumping / Xc and does it ever fail to record?
Like you I love the size / design and it’s very simple to use.

Maybe I could order one and test it and if it doesn’t work I should be able to return it in a certain period of time

It's the 1080P. It records perfectly, the only issue I have is that the battery life isn't quite what it claims, but that wouldn't matter if you are using it for jumping/xc rounds.

Mine goes on my hatband and I switch it on/press record without looking when I am on the bad stretch of road I have to use out hacking, and switch it off for the rest. So I doubt yours is failing through operator error, there must be something wrong with it.

Fab thanks, quite tempted just order one and try it.
The weird thing though is I’ve had same problem with both my old one and a friends 1080. But I’m sure its not operator error as works in other situations.

**UPDATE**

Just contacted veho who advised me to reformat the micro card to remove invisible memory which might be causing the issue!!
