My 12yr old terrier bitch was jumped by a even smaller terrier dog I got there about 10 secs after they had locked took them about 18-20 mins to come apart after I had them under the cold tap. What's the likely hood of pregnancy? her lat season was bout 2 weeks ago. Would a litter at this age kill her? She has had one or two litters when she was young. Help please !!

I had exactly the same predicament with my 12 year old bitch recently, vet said unlikely she would take at her age but we gave her the injections to be on the safe side, she had no adverse effects and no problems since, so may be worth considering

get her to the vet for a jab to hopefully abort the pregnancy.

Do you mean her last season started about 2 weeks ago or ended then? If it started 2 weeks ago, it may be an issue as the most fertile point is usually around day 14. Due to her age, I'd take her to the vet for the jab anyway just to be on the safe side. Think the jab can only be given for a day or so afterwards though.

Mismate jab, asap. Do talk to your vet about any side effects. Hope she's ok.
