I need some help :o ... I have some ideas but wanted to see if there are any other ideas out there that might be better for my lad.

Well a friend looked after my horse for a few days, was fine the first day, she tacked up and hacked him out. The second day he refused to let her put the bridle on. Four other people also tried and he wouldn't let any of them. I go down today and attempt to put the bridle on, it took a long time. And I eventually managed to put the bridle on, but without the bridle as I was taking it slow. But it took a long time to even put the bridle on without the bit and he seemed very head shy and I don't know what caused this.

1/ He's always been fine with putting the bridle on, never had any problem.
2/ The day before my friend rode, I had tacked up and rode and had no problem at all.

Any advice in how to deal with this? If you have any questions please ask, as anything will be helpful towards this.

:D

It sounds to me like hes sore somewhere.
Possibly ears, poll or mouth, how experienced is your friend, could she inadvertently have hurt him tacking up ?

Thats what I keep thinking :( ... if she banged his teeth and he's now attempting to get away from the pain that he thinks might be coming? He's fine in the field to be rubbed all over on his face, it's just when you approach him with the bridle/headcollar.
