Help and Advise pleease, new puppy...

Hi there, we've decided to get a new puppy, I have a 12 yr old neutered bitch, she can be dominant though has always gotten on well with other dogs, just likes others to submit to her (mainly bitches)! We've recently looked after a friends dog pup for a few days, and she gets on brilliantly with him, playful, yet telling him no sufficiently when he got a bit too much! Anyway, she's been the best dog ever and therefore I would like another bitch. Is she likely to accept another bitch, or would a dog pup be a better option. If so are dogs as easy and trainable? (p.s either sex would be neutered).

Oh and if anyone can find a rescue pup of lab, dally, pointer type, (my fave breed ever is viszla, but finding one of those rescue or in my budget is like gold dust!) that would be great, have scralled the t'internet and not found something that my 'picky' hubby and I agree on! (p.s hubby has only just come around to the idea of a new pup, so have to keep him happy!!)

Hiya if you PM me I can give you details of people that may be able to help you with a rescue vizz, pups are fairly rare but do crop up occasionally, however younger, 6 months and under dogs do come up more frequently.

Not sure if you got my message I sent Vizslak, many thanks, but today I found our new member of the family.. a 9 week old Vizsla x GSP, accidental mating!! But result is stunning, and was within my budget! Thanks again. x
