Hi,

Now, is it true that you cannot have help at either Regionals/Nationals?

I know that only you can ride the horse but what about instruction from a trainer/helper whilst you are warming up? I know it would be difficult for trainer/helper to stand in the middle etc... but can you have outside assistance whilst warming up?

No, not true at all!

No one other than the competitor may ride the horse, other than at free walk on a long rein, but you can have trainer helping from the sidelines during the warm up.
Obviously not IN the warm up arena, health and safety etc., but from the outside fine.
A lot of people now use the radio headpieces so that the trainers don't have to shout louder than each other which is irritating for all!

Obviously they're not allowed for the test, more's the pity!!!!

Where can I buy them from??Seem good idea otherwise there would be shouting everywhere!!!

Probably from several sources but I know Paul Fielder sells them.

http://www.ukdressage.co.uk/index2.htm except that I've just checked there and it says 'new model arriving soon' with no other details.
You could try ringing him for details.

I'm not sure what their official title is to google them but I'm sure someone more 'withit' will let us know!

Jill Day might also be able to help. I know she was trialling some a while back and uses one to teach on windy days. Her no. will be under Trainers in the Eastern Region or PM me for it.
