I've had a bad experience buying from a dealer... I want to just make people aware of what happened so they
don't get put in the same situation as I did (I have had the year from hell!!) is there anything I can do to help the genuine horse lovers / average Joes like me or anything I can put on Google?

I think in the first instance you need to speak to the dealer to ensure that all possible resolutions are reached and then go to trading standards. Until you reach a point where you feel all avenues have been exhausted then you can tell your tale without risking your "case".

This was a couple of months ago. I have had to loose a lot of money/ time and had a lot of stress but the main thing is the horse is now in a more suitable home so not in contact dealer anymore we tried everything we could I don't want any money or anything back just want to now make people aware if I can. I will go trading standards thank you for your reply

Hi, there is a group on facebook called "Horse dealers the good, the bad and the ugly", you may find advice on there. I'm looking for a horse at the moment and have decided to stick with reputable studs. It's a minefield out there. Good luck, I hope you manage to find a horse more suitable

Fab thank you I will have a look, I now have a new boy who I love and the dealer I bought him through was brilliant with everything so there are good ones out there! Good luck on search too!
